Wema Bank and ABUAD partner on facilities

Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD) and Wema Bank Plc have reached an agreement on the erection of more infrastructural facilities at the university campus in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.

During a meeting between the top management of Wema Bank Plc and authorities of ABUAD at the university, ABUAD expressed interest in having the bank construct residential accommodation for both staff and students of the institution.

Speaking on behalf of ABUAD, the Founder and President of the institution, Aare Afe Babalola SAN, said more structures were being put in place on the campus, including a central cafeteria with larger capacity, adding that Wema Bank Plc could key into the growing student population of the two-year-old university to provide more infrastructure that would suit the standard of the university and be of benefit to the bank.

Aare Afe Babalola also requested the bank to establish a branch on the campus for convenience, pointing out that, besides the availability of market, investment of the bank would be secured, as the university had been declared the safest campus in the country.
