VISITATION TO ABUAD BY THE ALUMNI EXECUTIVES.

The Executives of Alumin Association of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), last week visited their Alma Mata. Below is bit-by-bit itinerary of the former students who are currently flying the banner of ABUAD at  various locations where they are currently engaged in the mandatory one-year National Service.

Thursday, March 20, 2014.

The Alumni Executives, Miss Sobajo Oguntope (President), Mr. Osagie Deji (Vice President, South-West), Miss Bankole Molakun (Liason Officer 1), Bashir (Public Relations Officer 1) Mr. Adebisi Kehinde (Social Director 1) paid a courtesy call on the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Michael Ajisafe, with some of the Management staff such as Director of Research, Prof. Benjamin Oso, Director of General Studies, Prof. Adekunle Alalade and the University Bursar, Pastor Modupe Babalola in attendance.

The Executive paid a courtesy visit to the Founder of the University, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN in his office with the Representative of the University’s Board of Trustees (BOT), Prof I.O Orubuloye, the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. M.O Ajisafe and the University’s  P.R.O., Mr Tunde Olofintila, in attendance.

An elated Babalola welcome the Ambassadors an urged them to visit the University farm and see the new developments and on-going projects such as the Snail shed, Piggery, fish farm (one of the biggest in the country), the Moringa Factory (noted to be the only Moringa Production Company in the country where several Moringa Products like Moringa soaps, Moringa cream, Moringa Tea, Moringa Oil, Moringa Capsule, Moringa seeds among others are being produced.

The executive then proceeded to 7,000-seater Alfa Belgore Multipurpose Hall where they had a brief meeting with the students of the university to share their experiences of “Life After ABUAD” and why the virtues being thought in ABUAD are of utmost import to their lives, labour market-related  matters and the doors of opportunities the name Aare Afe Babalola can open.

After their interaction with the students, the Alumni executives then had a forum to review the ABUAD ALUMNI Constitution and other Alumni-related  matters.

Saturday, March 22, 2014.

The Executives met with ABUAD’s Director of International Linkages, Prof. Ibikunle Tijani, who will be working with the Alumni as an Adviser on International Linkages and other sundry Alumni matters.

The executives then visited the gargantuan College of Engineering and the Talent Discovery Centre after which they met with the Executives of ABUAD graduating class.
