Dr Boluwaji Gbenga Jaiyesimi is the Deputy Director of Sport of the Directorate. He is a lecturer, as well as the Academic Coordinator of Sports Science Unit in the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, College of Sciences. He has PhD in Sport Science and Biomechanics from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He holds other University Degrees from Diploma to Masters in Human Kinetics and Health Education from the University of Ibadan. He holds a Proficiency Certificate in Management from Nigeria Institute of Management and Basic Certificate in Sports Management from Nigeria and International Olympic Committee (NOC/IOC). He was a fellowship awardee of National Research Fund and The World Academy of Science (NRF/TWAS). He loves coaching, teaching, counseling and pastoring. He is an astute scientific researcher, administrator and talent developer. He has won numerous medals for the university in different sports. He has published numerous journal articles in national and international journals. He has strong passion for all-round potential development. He loves to apply psychophysiological and biomechanical theories to sport coaching and skill development. He has researched into injury prevention in sport, promotion of physical activity, anti-aging solution, athletic performance enhancement, biomechanical efficiency, data management and project analysis, prevention of lifestyle related diseases and so on. As a trained and certified Pastor, he serves as an Associate Pastor of ABUAD Chapel. He is a member of European College of Sports Science, International Council Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (ICPHER-SD), Nigeria Association of Sports Science and Medicine, Nigeria Society for Sports Management, Nigeria Universities Games Association, Nigeria Private Universities Games Association, Nigeria Institute of Management and so on.

Teaching Focus: Sports biomechanics, research methodology, teaching methods and educational technology, sports physiology and nutrition, health and wellness, child development and motor learning, research data analysis, physical activity promotion, exercise testing and prescription for acute and chronic diseases, sports program design

Research Focus: Foot morphology and motor efficiency, biomechanical analysis and enhancement of skill performance, sport data mining and time series analysis, physical activity promotion and healthy living, E-Sports and athletic development

Coaching Focus: Sports performance testing and program design, skill transfer and development in ball and racquet games, sport data analysis, strength and conditioning for performance enhancement, use of psychotherapy in sport, injury prevention and management
